Dec. 18th: A Fluffy Sunset

Sunday was my last choir performance on top of Grouse Mountain this year and what a way to end the season.  It was a pretty grey and miserable day as Mom, Dad, and I made our way to the skyride to get on top of the mountain. We knew that there were some openings in the cloud, but we didn't really know what that meant in terms of what the conditions would be on top of the mountain.  Fortunately as we emerged from the deep fog, we were blinded by the sun reflecting of the sea of cloud. Breathtakingly beautiful does not even begin to describe how beautiful it was.

I have pictures (which will be posted soon) but even they do not do the sky justice.  While we were finishing our post choir show dinner in the Grouse Mountains bistro, Altitudes, we were over looking the gorgeous sky and were floored at how angelic the whole thing looked.  Seriously - there's a reason why heaven is often depicted with sunshine and clouds.

  1. Awesome, I remember a few times on Mount Washington where you feel like you're on a Mountain shaped island in a sea of clouds below.
